Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
William Zacher received his bachelors degree in 1953 and masters degree in 1960 from Northern State College. As a student, Zacher received the Cosmopolitan Scholarship in 1950 and the Athletic Scholastic Award in 1953.
Zacher is a member of the American Legion, Boys State Corporation, Inights of Columbus, American Association of School Administrators, South Dakota School Superintendent Association, School Administrators of South Dakota, South Dakota High School Athletic Association, Board of Control and Chairman of District 7 and Region 2, Alumni "N" Club, and Future Farmers of America Alumni Association.
Zacher married Bernice and they have six children and one grandchild.
