Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Burt Leidholt was a talented running back for NSU's football team and an excellent hurler for the track team. Leidholt was co-captain of the 1957 football team as he helped guide Northern to a SDIC championship. As a hurdler, Leidholt's strong finishes helped the Northern track team win two SDIC Track and Field Championships.Â
He received his bachelor's degree from NSU in 1958. He is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic, the N.D. Association of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and the National Coaches Association.
Leidholt is married to Virginia and they reside in Minot.Â
