Harley L. Robertson was a former Northern State College faculty member and coach.  While at Northern, from 1938-1942, he was associate professor in health and physical education, and coached football and basketball.  His basketball teams were conference champions three consecutive seasons, 1939-40, 1940-41, and 1941-42.  Prior to becomming the conference champions, they were second in the conference for the 1938-39 basketball season. 

Before Robertson's retirement in 1969, he was a staff member of the American Heart Association.  He continued as a part-time consultant since his retirement.  Among his professional activities were president of the National Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.  He was a member of the Volleyball Committee, U.S. Olympics Association from 1955-57, National Health Council Committee on State and Local Health Councils, served on the Governing Council of Society of Professional Heart Staff. 

Robertson married G. Mildred Peterson and they have one child and two grandchildren.
