Northern State University Athletics

Charles Kretchman was an all-around athlete at Faulkton High School before coming to Northern to play football.  While playing for the Wolves, he was a member of two SDIC championship football teams.  He was also a member of the prexy club and was a part of the Gypsy Day Royal Court in 1958. 

He received his bachelor's degree in secondary education with majors in biology and physical education from NSU in 1959.  In 1988, Kretchman's family donated a taxidermy specimen of a wolf that is displayed in the Barnett Center on the NSU campus.
