Northern State University Athletics

Requests for media credentials can be directed to Ashley Gauer at 605-626-3336 or Ashley.Gauer@northern.edu. Credentials will be issued on an individual basis and are to be used only by the requestor.

Per NCAA guidelines, photographers are limited to shooting in the designated areas along the competition surface, Please contact Associate AD, Communications, Ashley Gauer with questions. Photographers wishing to cover an event are asked to submit a request via email to Ashley.Gauer@northern.edu. The athletic communications office will then determine if the photographer is approved to cover events on Northern State University's campus and will communicate guidelines back to the requestor. 

Only approved photographers will be admitted to the areas surrounding the playing surface at each of the Northern State Athletic facilities. All campus guidelines must be followed. Photographers unable to follow the guidelines distributed may be asked to forfeit their media pass. 

Members of the media wishing to conduct interviews not in a post-game setting are asked to contact Associate AD, Communications, Ashley Gauer. If an interview is desired with a player, the athletic communications office will set up the interview between the media and player/coach. Interviews may be conducted prior to practices during the week. Please contact the athletic communications office to inquire about the practice schedule. Game-day interviews will not be granted until the conclusion of the contest.

Media are invited to work in the designated areas of the athletic venues. Seating, however, is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Media members must be granted a credential to work in the designated press area. For most facilities, internet access is available, however media members are encouraged to bring a back-up source if at all possible. Statistics will be provided at appropriate breaks and at the conclusion of the game. Members of the media wishing to receive an advance copy of the game notes should contact Associate AD, Communications, Ashley Gauer.

Post-game interviews with Northern State coaches and players will be conducted following competition and post-game team meetings. Members of the athletic communications staff will be available to assist in arranging post-game interviews. Complete statistical packets will be disseminated to the media as soon they are completed following the game.
