Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Arthur E. Cooper attended Northern part time from 1916-1924. Cooper left Northern and attended the University of Minnesota where he received his bachelor of science degree. He played both football and basketball for Northern from 1921-1923. Cooper lettered two years and was an active member of the Monogram Club.
Cooper had various careers including, cattle and horse ranching, industrial engineering firm in Philadelphia, and owing and operating a fishing camp. Cooper is a member of the Palatka Board of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, Kiwanis Club of Palatka and received the Kiwanis INternational "Distinguished Service Award" from the club for outstanding club service as treasurer in 1969.
Cooper married Ione Green in 1938 and they have one son and one grandchild.
