Northern State University Athletics

Al received his B.S in Education from Northern in 1955. He was a standout athlete in football and track, earning all conference honors in football three of the years he played. 

He was selected to the all-college team his junior and senior years of playing. Al was co-captain of the 1953 undefeated football team.

 

Al is currently the weight coach at Dakota State University, and is the Executive Director of the South Dakota Senior Games Association. He is a member of the Dakota State University Hall of Fame, as well as a member of the South Dakota Senior Games Hall of Fame.
