Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Gordon Fisher attended Northern State Teachers College from 1922-1924. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota and his M.A. from New York University. While attending Northern State Teachers College, Fisher was an outstanding performer in the track weight events. For 18 years he was athletic director and head football and trach coach at Northern Central College, Naperville, Ill., where he produced outstanding teams in both sports. Until his retirement in 1962, Fisher was Hoosier track coach at the University of Indiana.
