NSU ATHLETICS FACILITY HOURS OF OPERATION
Hours of operation, facility entrance and exit guidelines, as well as general access information is included in the sections below. Facility hours during the summer months or holiday breaks may vary.
BARNETT CENTER / WACHS ARENA
The Barnett Center will be open for use at the hours listed below for Northern State student-athletes using both Wachs Arena and the upstairs Auxiliary Gym area. The facility will not be available during the hours listed below when athletic events are scheduled.
Monday-Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (reserved for NSU teams from 3:00-6:00 p.m.)
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
BOB OLSON STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CENTER
The nearly 10,000-square foot facility located on the second floor of the Barnett Center offers student-athletes, as well as students and members of the NSU Faculty and Staff, a full service workout environment. The facility will not be available during the hours listed below when athletic events are scheduled.
Monday-Thursday: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The Bob Olson Strength and Conditioning Center runs on limited hours in the summer months. The facility is open Monday through Friday and closed on the weekend.
Monday-Thursday: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
ATHLETIC & RECREATION FIELDS
Entrance and exit to the facility is via card swipe at the Southwest gate near the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Students using the facility must enter/exit ONLY through the gate and must CLOSE the gate upon entry. Music is prohibited in the facility prior to 7 a.m. and after 9 p.m. to respect the individuals living in the neighborhood.
Monday-Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
DACOTAH HALL GYM
Students will be granted ID swipe access to the facility following the completion of the online waiver. The facility is open to all students and with open hours listed below. The facility will be staffed from 6:00-10:00 p.m. (weekdays) and 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (weekends) beginning September 3, 2020. Equipment rentals will be available when staff is present. Scheduled events throughout the academic year may cause the facility to be closed. Those will be posted at the entrance doors.
