Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Morris Mack attended Northern from 1948-53 and was a four-year letter winner in basketball in which he started at guard for three years. Mack graduated from Northern with a major in history and minors in physical education and business administration.Â
After college, Mack continued his love for sports. He has played for state champion teams in softball (1954), basketball (1955) and amateur baseball (1957 and 1961). He umpired city league from 1962-82 and American Legion and Northern baseball games. He was inducted into the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.Â
Mack married Shirley Dixon in 1959 and they have one daughter.Â
