Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Steve Graf played on six SDIC championship teams in football and baseball. A four-year letter winner in both sports, Graf was a member of three SDIC champion football teams from 1970-73 and a national qualifying team in 1971. The baseball team won three conference titles from 1971-74 and qualified for regional playoffs in 1972 and 1973. He set a single game record for total offense with 347 yards and helped set eight team offensive records in football. Graf quarterbacked for the Northern team that rushed for more than 3,000 yards his senior season. In baseball, he posted a .456 average and led the team in runs batted in during the 1974 season. His football honors include an all-district selection in 1973, honorable mention all-conference in 1971 and 1972, and football team captain in 1973. In baseball, Graf earned all-district honors in 1974 and honorable mention all-conference in 1972.
Graf was crowned the 1973 Gypsy Day marshal and his wife, Grace, was a queen candidate. He earned a double major in business education and teaching in 1979.
Steve and Grace have three children together.
