Marvin Rasmussen graduated from Northern in 1959 with a bachelor of arts degree in education.  He returned to receive his master's degree in education in 1966.  After graduation, he became a high school basketball coach as well as a teacher.  Rasmussen was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981.
