Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Harlan Krein was a defensive lineman and was named All-SDIC his junior and senior years. He earned the NAIA All-American honors in 1958. Krein earned his masters degree from Northern in 1964 while he was a teacher at Groton and Webster high schools. He went on to teach at the University of North Dakota-Ellendale and Peru State College.
Krein was a three year member of the Leola school board and presently serves as a member of the McPherson County COmmission and the Northern State Foundation. He is a charter member of the Wolves Club.
He and his wife, Lorraine Pfeiffer have three children.
