Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Richard B. Greeno earned his bachelors degree in 1950 and his masters degree in 1955 and was an athelete at Northern State College.Â
Greeno served as president of the South Dakota High School Coaches Association, secretary-treasurer of the SDHSCA, secretary-treasurer of the Eastern South Dakota Conference, member of the South Dakota High School track committee; was named the SDHSCA Track Coach of the Year, 1969 and 1975, the National High School Athletic Coaches Association District 7 Coach of the Year, 1969, 1974 and 1976, South Dakota Sportswriters Coach of the Year, 1970, and Lincoln High School Teacher of the Year in 1972.Â
Greeno married G. Rosemary Griesel and they have two children.Â
