Northern State Athletics Hall of Fame
Maure (Simon) Weinkauf played on state champion teams in field hockey (1973) and softball (1975) and second-place teams in basketball (1974 and 1975), track (1975) and tennis (1975). Weinkauf scored 44 points in a state tournament game against Sioux Falls College for basketball. Weinkauf graduated in 1975 with a health and physical education degree.Â
Weinkauf has been honored as the 1991-92 state secondary physical education teacher of the year and the 1977 Young Career Woman for Hand County.
Weinkauf and her husband, Craig, have two children.Â
