Northern State University Athletics

Ron Kaaz was a dual athlete in football and track. Kaaz was a member of four SDIC champion football teams and two SDIC track squads.  Kaaz participated in field events for the Northern squad that won a conference track title his sophomore yera.  Kaaz threw the discus and inished sixth at the national indoor meet in the shot put.  He held the NSU record for the discus with a throw of 169-10.  He graduated in 1971 with a major in mathematics. 

Kaaz and his wife, Carla, have two children.
