Northern State University Athletics

Lenae (Reinschmidt) Harrison participated in basketball, cross country and track and field for Northern State University.  Her All-American achievements in track and field include placing fifth in the 2-mile relay at the Indoor National Meet in 1984; sixth in the distance medley relay at the Indoor National Meet in 1986; fifth in the mile run at the Indoor National Meet in 1986; third in the 3000 meter run at the Outdoor National Meet in 1986.  She was a NAIA national meet qualifier in both cross country and track all four years.  In 1986 Harrison was selected as the Hildred Wolfe Outstanding Athlete and was named the district athlete of the year.  Her team also captured the District 12 team championship in track and field in 1984.

Harrison earned her B.S. in Secondary Education and a master's degree in leadership and education.  Presently, she is teaching 9-12 special education at Washington High in Sioux Falls.  Lenae has one daughter, Jenae.
