Northern State University Athletics

Northern State University Athletics has a rich tradition of success both on and off the field of play. Most notably are Northern's 262 All-American student-athletes which date back to 1955, with NSU's first All-American in Jim Kretchman. Over the course of 60 years, the Wolves have produced 56 football All-Americans, 54 women's track and field All-Americans, 51 wrestling All-Americans, 41 men's track and field All-Americans,18 men's basketball All-Americans, 12 volleyball All-Americans, eight women's basketball All-Americans, eight swimming All-Americans, seven women's cross country All-Americans, four baseball All-Americans, one All-American from men's cross country, tennis, and soccer .
