Tyrone Morgan played football for three seasons with the Wolves. In those three seasons he smashed countless Northern football records and collected several honors of his own. In 1998 he finished his season ranked 5
th in the nation in rushing and set four NSU rushing yards. He shattered the previous single season rushing yards record of 1197 yards with 1838 yards, a record that has remained untouched. He crushed the former record of most carries in a season of 223 with 318 of his own, another record of his that has not been broken since. He also still holds the record for most yards gained rushing in a single game with 278. In 1999, he helped the Wolves capture the NSIC title for the first time since 1992, was named All-Conference Offensive MVP, and was an All-Conference honorable mention punt/kick return. He was named to the first team All-Conference as a running back all three seasons (‘98, ‘99, ‘00). He garnered All-American honors in 1998 and 1999.
