Chance Olson was named to the AFCA All-America second team in 2021, as well as the Don Hansen first team. Olson led the NSIC and was second in all of NCAA Division II with seven interceptions on the season, returning them for a total of 181 yards and a touchdown. He ranked second on the team with 80.0 total tackles and added 3.5 tackles for loss, six pass break-ups, and two fumble recoveries. He broke the single game school record with his 100-yard interception return for a touchdown versus Bemidji State and the single season school record for interception return yards.
