Frank Bohall graduated from Northern with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1959.  Bohall lettered in Football, Basketball, and Track all 4 years and was inducted to the Northern State University Athletic Hall Of Fame in 1982. He was the first athlete from NSU to place in a National track meet, placing 6th in the half mile with a time of 1:55.

Bohall returned to Aberdeen to teach and coach at Central High School.  His achievements include awards as outstanding coach, outstanding biology teacher and teacher of the year and he has served as president of the South Dakota biology teachers.  He was also appointed to the governor's task force on crime and the state drug council.

Bohall married Maureen Smith, former Gypsy Day Queen in 1962, and they have three children.
