Northern State University Athletics

Ashley Rozell earned the first All-American honors of her career in the fall of 2018. The then junior led the Wolves to the most wins in school history and the first NSIC Conference Championship for NSU. She was named to the AVCA honorable mention All-America team. She went on to earn an AVCA All-America second team nod in her senior campaign, as the Wolves won back-to-back league crowns.

2019: Started all 31 matches for the Wolves… Dished out 1,340 assists, averaging 12.07 per set… Paced NSU to a .285 team attack percentage… Became the Northern State career record holder with 5,183 assists… Added 304 digs, averaging 2.74 per set, and 53.0 blocks, averaging 0.48 per set… Second on the team with 29 service aces… Named to the NSIC All-Conference first team, CoSIDA Academic All-District team, AVCA All-Region team, AVCA All-America second team, and CoSIDA Academic All-America team…

2018: Started all 31 matches for the Wolves, pacing the offense to a national leading attack percentage of .292… Broke the single season school record with 1,375 total assists… Finished the year sixth in the nation, averaging 12.17 assists per set… Finished tenth in the nation with a team leading 57 service aces… Climbed the NSU record books to sit third all-time in total assists and fourth in service aces… Added 54 kills, 270 digs, and 56.0 blocks… Recorded a season high 61 assists versus Winona State and six aces against Augustana… Honored as the NSIC Setter of the Week (8/27, 9/4, 9/17, and 11/5)… Named to the NSIC All-Conference first team, CoSIDA Academic All-District team®, and the AVCA All-Region first team… Earned the first AVCA All-American honors of her career as a member of the honorable mention team…

2017: Appeared in all 30 matches for the Wolves… Tallied 1,244 total assists, averaging 11.85 per set… Ranked eighth nationally in assists per set… Led the team with 56 service aces, averaging almost two a match… Added 54 kills, 222 digs, and a team third best 57 blocks… Recorded a season high 60 assists against No. 1 Concordia-St. Paul… Added six double-doubles… Ranked 14^th nationally in aces per set, 31^st nationally in total assists, and 15^th nationally in total service aces… Named to the Max & Erma’s Classic All-Tournament Team… Named NSIC Player of the Week… Named First Team All-NSIC… Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team…

2016: Appeared in all 103 sets for the Wolves in her redshirt freshman season… Recorded 1224 assists for an average of 11.88 per set… Ranked fourth in the NSIC and fifth in the NCAA in assists per set… Tallied 23 attacks, 42 service aces and 41 blocks… Finished with 233 digs for an average of 2.26 per set… Notched a season-high 73 assists versus Henderson State…
