Yvonne Freese was a dual sport athlete out of Lanesboro, MN. She participated in basketball and track and field while at NSU. She was a successful thrower for the Wolves as she tallied 40 top ten finishes in her career while taking first place eight times. In 2012 she was the Outdoor NSIC Champion in discus. She qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in discus in 2012 and 2013, where he took 4th and 6th places respectively, earning All-American honors both years. Yvonne still holds the NSU school outdoor record in discus with 48.49m. She shared the women’s team MVP title in 2012 and 2013 with Melodi Boke and Jill Schaefer.

2011-12: Played in 15 games… Averaged 8.5 minutes per game… scored 17 points and grabbed 29 rebounds… Scored season high 9 points and shot 100% from the field versus Minot State…
 
2010-11: Played in 7 games... 4.7 minutes per game... scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds...
 
2009-10: Played in 10 games as a true freshman... scored 14 points, collected 9 rebounds, 1 steal on the year...
