Northern State University Athletics

John Lutmer received his B.S. in Management/Marketing from Northern in 1989. He ran Track and Cross Country for NSU for four years. During his reign at Northern, John accomplished many feats on the track. He was awarded the Most Valuable Athlete (Track) and Most Improved Athlete (Cross Country) in the 87-88 season. He was an NIC All-Conference selection for Track and Field. Lutmer still currently holds the NSU record for the 800 meters. In 1988, Lutmer became an All-American for Track.
