Bryce Malsam earned the first All-American honors of his career in the heptathlon in 2020. Malsam qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the heptathlon. He ranked tenth with his mark of 5,319 points. Malsam also earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the event.
