All-American Season:
Ristau a native of Warner, South Dakota, was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year and finished the year leading the squad averaging 19.8 points per game. The Wolves lead the country in rebounding thanks to Ristau's team high 7.8 boards per game, while her team ranks sixth in the nation in field goal shooting percentage aided by Ristau's 56.3 percent shooting efforts (254-of-451). She joined Northern State's 1,000 career point club this season and currently ranks sixth in school history with 1,461 career points.
 
Ristau was named the CoSIDA Academic All-American® of the year last week, as the first student-athlete in school history to record the honor. She helped the Wolves earn an at-large berth into the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament, where Northern State upended Arkansas Tech in the first round, for the program's first postseason win in five years, and fell to Augustana University in the semifinal round of the Central Region Tournament. She was also named to the D2CCA All-Region team.

Northern State Bio:
2017-18: Appeared and started in all 32 games for the Wolves... Averaged 28.6 minutes per game... Tallied 635 points, 250 rebounds, 74 assists, 67 blocks, and 22 steals... Shot 56.3 percent from the field and 79.2 percent from the free-throw line... Set a career-high with 35 points against St. Cloud State, and six assists against Concordia-St. Paul... Miranda was NSIC Player of the Year, CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year, WBCA All-America Honorable Mention and to the D2CCA All-Region First Team

2016-17: Started in all 31 games for the Wolves... Tallied a team-high 515 points and 249 rebounds with 56 assists, 25 steals and 77 blocks... Averaged 16.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game... Shot 52.4 from the floor and 73.0 percent from the foul line... Recorded a career-high 29 points against Minnesota Duluth and 17 rebounds versus Upper Iowa... Was awarded NSIC All-Conference First Team and NSIC All-Tournament First Team... 

2015-16: Appeared in all 30 games for NSU... Tallied 259 points, 161 rebounds, 27 blocks and nine steals... Shot 53.9 percent from the floor and 72.6 percent from the foul line... Averaged 8.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game... Finished the season with a career-high 21 points against Concordia- St. Paul... 

2014-15: Appeared in 11 games for the Wolves… Tallied 48 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, one block, and five steals… Scored a career high nine points versus Bemidji State in nine minutes of play… Shot 66.7 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the foul line… 

Before NSU: Ristau is an all-state, 6-foot-2 post who was an outstanding basketball and volleyball athlete for the Warner Monarchs. As a 60 percent field-goal shooter, she averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block per game as a senior. Ristau was also named all-conference her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and named to the all-tournament team as a junior and senior. She also helped lead Warner to State Titles in both basketball and volleyball
