Sally Gaul earned the first All-American honors of her career in the fall of 2022. She was honored by the AVCA as a member of the honorable mention team. 

Gaul led the Wolves in 2022 averaging 3.93 kills per set with 369 total. She hit .262 on the year, setting career highs for kills (26), attack percentage (.778), and digs (29). In addition, Gaul accumulated 245 digs, 71.0 blocks, 31 aces (team high), and 16 assists.
