Nichole Wenz (Hall) graduated from NSU in 2001 with a degree in Business Administration and Office Systems. She was a decorated four year track athlete during her time at Northern. She qualified for the national outdoor meet in 1998, 1999, and 2000 taking All-American honors the last two years. She was named the NSU women’s team Outstanding Freshmen in 1998 and broke the school discus record with a toss of 153’10” as a freshmen. She later broke her own record with a toss of 154’4” which she held for several years until it was later broken. She was named NSIC outdoor MVP and women’s team MVP in 2001. She held the NSIC record of 152’6” until 2009. She was the conference champ in discus and shot put, indoor and outdoor, numerous times, garnering her the NSU Hildred Wolfe Award in 2001. In 2011, Nichole was inducted into the Northern State University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nichole currently lives in Huron, SD with her husband Tim and their children Trace and Tryan.
