John Trevett wrestled for the Wolves for four seasons. As a freshmen he recorded a record of 10-18-1 at 190 pounds. The following season he qualified for the 1984 national tournament at 177 pounds. In 1985 he took the NIC title at 177 pounds and qualified for the national tournament. His senior year, he became the defended his NIC title and became the District 12 champion at 177 pounds. He qualified for the national tournament where he placed 7^th, garnering All-American honors. He compiled a 30-6-3 record in his final season with the Wolves.
