Kevin King received numerous honors during his tenure at NSC (1980-84). In the 1982-83 season, he was named Northern Intercollegiate Conference Most Valuable Player. King was also a three-time All-NIC selection, earning Second Team honors in 1981-82 and First Team distinction in 1982-83 and 1983-84. He achieved NAIA All-District 12 First Team twice and was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in 1983-84. King, who ranks in Wolves history in career points (1,986), helped NSC to two NAIA District 12 Championships and one NIC Championship. In addition to his time on the basketball court, King was also a member of the NSU Track and Field team for two years. He received the Clark Swisher NSU Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year Award in 1983-84. King graduated with a B.S. in Education in 1985.Â
