Lisa Voegeli was a member of the inaugural women’s cross country team at Northern in 1981. She was the first Wolves runner across the tape in every race and helped her teammates take the NAIA District 12 title. Voegeli was also a member of the track team. In 1982, she broke six individual NSU records, three indoor (mile, 2 mile, and 3000m) and three outdoor (1500m, 3000m, and 5000m) and was a member of the record breaking 4x800m relay team as well. She received All-American honors in the fall in cross country and in the spring in track. She was also named the women’s team MVP for the 1982 track season.
