Gary Evjen became the first player in NSU men's basketball history to break the 2,000-point plateau and by the time he graduated in 1972, he had amassed the most points on record with 2,288.  Although he no longer holds the top spot, he still ranks third all-time on the Wolves' career scoring list behind fellow Hall of Fame inductees Eric Kline and Scott Bosanko. Evjen was honored with four All-Conference and three NAIA All-District 12 certificates in his career. He was also named to the NAIA All-America team as a junior and senior. Off the court, Evjen was also involved in the NSU Student Senate, the "N" Club and was a part of the Gypsy Days Royalty.
