Pre-NSU: Mike Severson is a 6-foot, catcher and first baseman out of Park High School and Dawson Community College. He was a 4-year starter for the Rangers of Park High School. Severson then moved on to Dawson where he was both a starter and team captain. He is a 2-time MonDak All-Conference performer and was named to the 2016 All-region 13 Team. Severson was a member of the MonDak Championship team this past season at Dawson. He notched a season average of .406 in 2016 with 48 hits, 52 runs scored, 17 doubles, two triples, ten homeruns, and 53 RBI. He is the son of Eric Severson and Michele Webb.
