Crookston, Minn. – Wolves baseball finished their series against the Golden Eagles Sunday. Getting in a deficit early, Northern tried clawing back late but came up short.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State got down early, giving up three runs in the first inning
- The Wolves got on the board in the fifth with a Kyle Konechne two-run home run; Andrew Niaves was batted in
- Extending their lead in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI double was Jac Fliflet; Fliflet scored on a balk, 5-2 UMC
- A two-run home run from Casey Vining (batting in Dylan Soulek) brought the Wolves within one
- Crookston put up five runs in the bottom of the eighth to stretch their lead to 10-4
- Dillon Castellanos touched home on a wild pitch to round out the game's scoring
