HYUNWOO KIM LANDS ON CENTRAL REGION ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM

The ABCA released the 2026 NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive teams today, vote on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association. Northern State University junior Hyunwoo Kim was honored as a central region selection at the pitching position.
 
Kim appeared in 14 games this season for the Wolves, starting in ten of them, with 51.1 innings of total work. The junior from Seoul, South Korea notched 39 strikeouts and held a 6.84 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP. Kim recorded one win and one save on the year; the win coming in the 16-15 victory over Davenport University on March 12 and the save coming at home in the 6-5 win over UMary on March 31. Fielding, Kim had 15 assists, one put out, and zero errors for a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was also a member of the 2026 NSIC All-Defensive team.
 
Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Div. II Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors. The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced Wednesday, June 17.

Founded in 1945, the American Baseball Coaches Association is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level.
