Crookston, Minnesota – Northern State baseball took to Crookston, Minn. in an NSIC double-header Saturday against the Golden Eagles of Minnesota Crookston. The Wolves give up the lead in each game to drop both contests.

Game One: NSU 2, UMC 8

GAME ONE: NSU 2, UMC 8
- Mateo Tahsini stepped to the batter's box to start the game; he doubled to left field to get things rolling for the Wolves early
- Casey Vining kept things going with a two-run home run, putting NSU on the board first
- The Golden Eagles put a run up to bring the score to 2-1 NSU after one
- It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth inning when the next runs of the game came across home plate; a UMC double put Crookston on top 3-2
- They added to their lead with one run in the fifth, and took control of the game when they scored four runs in the sixth

GAME TWO: NSU 4, UMC 9
- Just like game one, Northern State got on the board first, this time from a Dalton Kesti homer to center field
- Crookston responded quickly with two first inning runs to take the lead 2-1
- They added another run in the second with a Thomas Schumacher double that brought Caden Kappes home; advantage 3-1 UMC
- A pair of three-run innings in the fifth and sixth allowed the Golden Eagles to pull away
- Scoring ended the same way it started, with a Dalton Kesti home run; he batted in Dylan Soulek and Kyle Konechne in a two-out-rally in the seventh
- The Wolves leave four total runners on base in the last two innings as their comeback falls short
