Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams travel to Mankato, Minnesota to compete in the NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday-Saturday, February 23-24 at Myers Field House hosted by Minnesota State University. Wolves will compete against 13 other women's teams and ten men's teams in the league and all-conference performers will consist of the top three place winners in every event and the members of the top two relay teams. Friday's events will begin at 9:30 with the heptathlon followed by field events at 12:00 p.m. and running events at 1:00 p.m. Saturday's events will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the pentathlon with field events at 1:00 p.m. and running events at 1:30 p.m.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves competed at the SDSU last chance last weekend in Brookings
• Chris Weber was the event winner in the 200m dash, while Birnir Vagn Finnsson won the long jump event
• Northern recorded 55 top-ten finishers in total and personal records were broken by 25 athletes
• Men's student-athletes ranked in the top-10 of the NSIC include Drew Salrank (400m), Seth Martens (400m), Dylan Schimke (600m), Josh Martin (mile), Nathan Alto (mile, 3000m, 5000m), Joel Matehs (60m H), Sam Tremelling (pole vault), Noah Ford (pole vault), Eli Radtke (pole vault), Nick Olson (weight throw), Vagn Finnsson (heptathlon), and Isaac Ligon (heptathlon)
• Women's student-athletes ranked in the top-10 of the league include Megan Pickering (3000m, 5000m), Bekah Walz (pole vault), Kenzee Danielson (pole vault), Cassidy Gough (weight throw), and Morgan Sheldon (pentathlon)
• Wolves with provisional marks in 2023-24 including Sam Tremelling in the pole vault (11th - 5.06m) and Vagn Finnsson in the heptathlon (30th - 4838)
