Prep:Â Megan Pickering is a distance runner out of Brandon Valley High School. She was a 4-year letter winner and team captain for the Lynx under the direction of head coach Tony Thoreson. Pickering holds personal records of 21:10.00 in the 5k, 2:28.00 in the 800m, 5:30.00 in the 1600m, and 12:03.00 in the 3200m. She is an academic all-state recipient. Pickering was a member of the 2017 AA Cross Country Championship and 2018 AA Track and Field Championship teams. She is the daughter of Tom and Cindy Pickering.
