Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams travel to Bismark this Saturday, January 20 to compete in the Mike Thorson Open. Field events will start at 11a.m. and running events will follow at 12:00 p.m. from the University of Mary Fieldhouse and Wellness Center.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves competed at the NDSU Team Cup last Saturday
• Both women and men placed third for team scores
• Top five finishes for the men included Nick Olson (weight throw and shot put, Sam Tremelling (Pole Vault), Chris Weber (60m), Noah Bayer (60m and 200m), Dalton Fleckenstein (800m), Nathan Alto and Evan Halbe (3,000m), and the 4x400m relay
• Seth Martens, Drew Salfrank, and Carter Dingman swept the 400m placing first through third
• For the women Cassidy Gough's throw in the weight throw placed her 22^nd in the nation
• Other top five finishers were Bekah Walz (pole vault), and Megan Pickering and Avery Murray (mile)
