Three Wolves Named to All-NSIC Volleyball Teams

Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2021 All-Conference teams this afternoon. Sally Gaul earned first team honors, while Peyton Ellingson and Natalia Szybinska made the second team.

Gaul earned All-NSIC honors for the second time in her career, having been named to the Second Team All-Conference in 2019. She leads the Wolves in four statistical categories, points (414), points per set (4.22), kills (359), and kills per set (3.66). She ranks fifth in the NSIC for three statistical categories; points, kills, and blocks (67.0). Gaul set career single match highs of 28 points and 10 total blocks against St. Cloud State, as well as setting a career high of 0.684 in attack percentage against Minot State.

Ellingson also earned All-NSIC honors for the second time in her career, having been named to the Second Team All-Conference in 2019. She leads the Wolves in attack percentage (0.397) and is second on the team in blocks (83.0) and blocks per set (0.99). She also ranks third overall for the NSIC in attack percentage, 11th in blocks per set, and 13th in total blocks (83.0). Ellingson set career single match highs this season in kills (16), points (20.5), service aces (3), and attack percentage (0.909).

Szybinska earned All-NSIC honors for the first time in her career this season; as one of six freshmen to make either of the two all-conference teams. She leads the Wolves in service aces (39), and service aces per set (0.40), while ranking second on the team in points (360), points per set (3.67), kills (297), and kills per set (3.03). She is tied for the overall lead in the NSIC for service aces and is third in the league for service aces per set. Szybinska set career single match highs of 20 kills and 23.5 points in a home match against Minnesota State, plus a high of eight service aces against Minot State.
