The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators were released today with three Northern State University Wolves honored. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The Northern State selections include
Natalia Szybinska,
Abby Brooks, and
Abby Schauer with Brooks and Schauer moving on to the national ballot.
Szybinska finished the year second on the team with 317 kills, averaging 3.14 per set with a .313 attack percentage. Defensively she was second on the team with 59.0 total blocks and added 44 digs. The graduate student notched 18 contests with double figure kills, including matching her career high of 25 against Concordia-St. Paul. In addition, she had 19 matches this season with an attack percentage above .300. The Wolves' outside hitter is a 4-time NSIC All-Conference honoree and 3-time CSC Academic All-District® award winner. with second team accolades in 2021 and 2023 and first team honors in 2024 and 2025.
Brooks led the team in efficiency and at the net this season with a .408 attack percentage and 116.0 total blocks. She has amassed 291 kills, averaging 2.88 per set. The senior broke the career assisted blocks record for Northern State this season and is zeroing in on the career total blocks as well. She adds 19 digs and four assists to the 2025 team totals. The Madison native tallied 15 matches with double figure kills thus far and 22 hitting .300 or better. Brooks is a 2-time All-NSIC performer and 2-time CSC Academic All-District® selection.
Schauer led the Northern State defense with 568 digs, averaging 5.62 per set this season. She tallied a .947 serve receive percentage and added 18 aces and 50 assists through sets 101 played. The senior tallied a single match high of 37 digs against Southwest Minnesota State and recorded 16 matches with over 20 digs in 2025. She is a 3-time NSIC All-Conference performer and 3-time CSC Academic All-District® honoree for the Wolves.
Student-athletes selected for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 13, 2026.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
