Bismarck, N.D. – Northern State swimming recorded three top-10 finishes with the combined events. The Wolves had 20 top-10 finishes between the six different events.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Avila Marialuisa got things started for the Wolves in the 50 fly, taking first place with a time of 26.99 seconds
- Emma Murdock took seventh in the 50 fly with a time of 28.12, followed by Josie Gillund and Lauren Forsyth with times of 28.33 seconds and 28.46 seconds respectively
- Murdock placed second in the 50 back with a time of 29.50
- Lexie Malimanek, Georgy Turner and Hannah Kiernan placed six, seven and eight for NSU with times of 30.29 seconds, 30.33 seconds, and 30.38 seconds
- In the 50 breast, Shayna Asuncion and Delaney Ryken were the top performers taking fifth and sixth with times of 33.18 seconds and 33.86 seconds
- Marialuisa took fifth in the 50 free with a time of 25.63 seconds
- Gillund and Murdock took ninth and tenth in the 50 free with only .35 seconds separating them
- Kiernan took second in the 500 free for the Wolves with a time of 6:07.23
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Marialuisa first-place finish in the 50 fly for the only event win on the evening for the Wolves
- Murdock third in the 50 back
- Asuncion fifth in the 50 breast
- Marialuisa fifth in the 50 free
- Asuncion fifth in the 100 IM

Northern State is back in action on February 12 for the NSIC Championship meet that will be held in Bismarck, N.D. The meet will start on Wednesday and go through till Saturday the 15th.
