KADEN HUNTRODS RESIGNS TO PURSUE NEW OPPORTUNITY

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University Director of Athletics Nate Davis announced the resignation of Head Swimming and Diving Coach Kaden Huntrods today. Huntrods will pursue professional opportunities outside of collegiate athletics.

"I'd like to thank Kaden for his commitment to Northern State University and this program for the last five years," noted Davis. "He has been a dedicated member of our department and has worked tirelessly to grow the program since he stepped foot on campus. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors."

"I wish the team the absolute best," said Huntrods. "Together we have enjoyed academic and athletic success, and most importantly success after graduation."

In his tenure, the Wolves broke 19 school records and captured 12 NSIC All-Conference performances and seven NSIC Championships. At the league championships, Northern tallied one swimmer of the meet, one freshman of the meet, and an NSIC Elite 18 Award recipient. In addition, four Wolves tallied NCAA qualifying marks and times with Lilly Grebner recording an All-American award in 2024. Huntrods reinstated diving in the program with Jacie Flockhart being the first national diving meet qualifier. Finally, Northern State swimming and diving spent nine semesters on the CSCAA Scholar All-America list and recorded the second highest grade point average in the country.

A national search for the fourth coach in program history will begin immediately.
