Biography
2022-23: Recorded a pair of top-10 finishes as an individual at the NSIC Swimming & Diving Championships with a third place finish and all-conference honors in the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.02) and a sixth place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (57.71)… Was a part of four top-10 relay teams at the NSIC Championships, contributing to the sixth place 200-yard medley relay which tied the school record time (1:47.96), the seventh place 400-yard freestyle relay (3:33.00), the eighth place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:38.57), and the ninth place 400-yard medley relay (3:57.25)… Earned three individual event wins with 11 top-3 individual finishes, and was also a part of seven winning relay teams and a total of 13 top-3 finishing relay teams throughout the season… Notched personal-best times in the 50-yard breaststroke (34.34), 200-yard breaststroke (2:47.14), 50-yard freestyle (25.12), 100-yard freestyle (55.00), and the 50-yard backstroke (29.76)… Ranked third in the NSIC in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.70), fifth in the 50-yard butterfly (26.20), and seventh in the 100-yard butterfly (57.38)… Was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence...
2021-22: Swam to personal best times in the 50 yard freestyle (26.47), 50 yard backstroke (30.65), 50 yard breaststroke (35.21), 50 yard butterfly (25.89), 100 yard butterfly (56.71), 200 yard butterfly (2:06.37), 100 yard IM (1:01.24), and the 400 yard IM (4:47.37)… Ranked third in the NSIC in the 200 yard butterfly, sixth in the in the 50 yard butterfly, seventh in the 100 yard butterfly, 19th in the 100 yard IM, and 24th in the 400 yard IM… Recorded one event win in the 100 yard butterfly, one win in the 200 yard butterfly, one win in the 100 yard IM, and totaled nine top-3 finishes in the 50, 100, and 200 yard butterfly, and the 100 yard IM… Earned all-conference honors in the 200 yard butterfly with a third place finish at the NSIC Championships in a time of 2:06.37…
2021: Placed fifth in the 200 fly and seventh in the 100 fly at the NSIC Championships… Ranked 40th in the NSIC and second at Northern… Tallied collegiate bests of 33.16 in the 50 back, 37.08 in the 50 breast, 26.46 in the 40 fly, 57.48 in the 100 fly, and 1:02.87 in the 100 IM…
2019-20: Swam personal bests in the 50 free (26.81), 200 breast (2:52.68), 50 fly (26.98), 100 fly (58.09), 200 fly (2:08.19), 100 IM (1:03.36), 200 IM (2:13.98), and 400 IM (4:56.76)… Ranked top-25 in the league in the 200 IM, 50 fly, and 100 fly, and in the top-10 in the 200 fly…
Prep: Lauren Forsyth is a butterfly swimmer out of South Africa. She swims for both St Mary's DSG Kloof and the Westville Swimming Club. Forsyth ranks in the top-50 nationally in the butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle in South Africa. Her prep squad finished fourth at the DND Gala, the most prestigious swim meet of the season. Forsyth holds personal records of 26.95 in the 50 fly, 58.50 in the 100 fly, and 55.31 in the 100 free (converted times). She is the daughter of Sharon and Kingsley Forsyth.
