Davenport, Flo. – Wolves baseball took to the diamond in Davenport, Florida to face their first two opponents on the trip. NSU split on the day, dropping a close first game and coming back in a high scoring second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS CAL
- Dalton Kesti got the Wolves off to a hot start with a triple to center field; Andrew Niavez batted him home on the next at bat to give Northern the lead early
- Two hit by pitches got Chad Helwich in scoring position; he tied things up a few batters later on a Connor Evans RBI
- NSU regained the lead in the top of the second with a Mateo Tahsini double, bringing Kyle Konechne and Dylan Soulek home
- Two Northern runs were scored in the top of the fifth; a Collin Lott triple getting Niaves across the plate and a Soulek sacrifice fly to get Lott home
- Up 5-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth, the Wolves allow the Vulcans to put four runs on the board to go on top 6-5, which ended up being the final score
- While trailing in the last innings of the game, NSU left three on base

HOW IT HAPPENED VS DAVENPORT
- The Wolves got down 0-3 before putting up their first runs in the bottom of the second
- With babes loaded, a Panther wild pitch brough Jack Weidner across the plate; a couple bats later Jake Hull scored on a Casey Vining single
- Davenport extended their lead to 7-2 in the top of the fourth
- Northern stormed back to tie the game at 7-7 after four; the five runs were scored by Dillon Kesti, Vining, Dillon Castillanos, Andrew Niaves, and Drew Benson
- After a fifth inning Panther run, the Wolves put up three on back-to-back-to-back batters to take the lead; Castillanos doubled to bring in Dylan Soulek, Vining doubled to bring in Castillanos, and Benson singled to bring in Vining
- Five runs came in for Davenport in the following inning to recapture the lead; they extended their lead to 15-10 in the seventh
- With two outs, Collin Lott hit the only home run of the game, bringing Niaves home with him, pushing the score to 15-12 DU
- The last six runs of the game went the way of the Wolves, four of which were in the bottom of the eighth to go up 16-15
- Kesti was batted in by Vining to tie the game, Easton Rerick touched home on a Panthers' passed ball to put the last run of the game on the board, solidifying the victory
