Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field team hosted Jamestown Thursday, January 15. The Wolves ran past the Jimmies in their first action of the year, with the men winning by 46 points and the women by 61 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Luke Campbell marked a personal best in the 50m hurdles with an 8.19, followed by Greyson Schuetzle for the Wolves at 8.4
- Northern took the top-2 spots in the 1000m with Easton Klatt crossing the finish line in 2:45.77 and Zach Terrio in 2:51.82
- In the 55m, Chris Weber and Ty Kadlec stood at the top of the leaderboard, running a 6.38 and a 6.475 respectively
- First place in the men's 400m went to Drew Salfrank with a time of 51.27, trailed by Geoffrey Mannino who ran a 52.16
- The Wolves took first again in the 200m thanks to Julian Scott's 22.63 time; Kadlec finished second with a 22.87 time
- The team of Damon Roggenbuck, Brener Conrad, Terrio, and Eyuel Miftah secured the 4x400m for the men with a time of 3:39.53
- Jayden Munroe marked 7.27m in the men's long jump and 14.04m in the men's triple jump, securing first in both events; Dylan Hoot (6.58m) and Miftah (12.76m) placed second respectively
- At 4.98m, Sam Tremelling had the highest clearing in the pole vault followed by Eli Radtke's 4.88m
- Jeff Boschee (first) and Hoot (second) led the way in the high jump clearing 2.04m and 1.99m
- Chanden Nieman's personal best 14.72m weight throw earned him first place
- Rounding out the men's action was Turner Thorson in second in the 800m with a time of 2:06.07
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- The men recorded 11 first place finishes in their dual meet against Jamestown along with 16 personal bests
- Munroe's mark in the men's long jump ranks ninth in DII College Indoor
- Radtke ranked fifteenth in the DII College Indoor pole vault with his clearance
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Renea Taylor had herself a day taking first in the women's 55m, 55m hurdles, and 200m with times of 7.08, 8.16, 25.05 respectively
- The 400m belonged to Anna Skachenko with a time of 59.62, followed by Kali Norton's 1:02.39 second place finish
- The Wolves took first in the 4x400m due to the team of Kali Norton, Sophia Gates, Payton Kemnitz, and Emma Hunt crossing the finish line in 4:15.69
- Clearing 5.27m, Alexa Fender lead the field in the long jump, right behind her was Emma Schneider at 5.03m
- In the triple jump, Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir's 10.41m mark earned her first; she was also the runner up in the 200m with a 27.20 time
- Bekah Walz took top place in the women's pole vault at 3.63m
- Tayla Dobrenski (1.67m) and Alexa Fender (1.57m) secured Northern the top-2 spots in the high jump
- A 14.80m personal best from Brooke Mushatt put her firmly at the top of the women's weight throwing
- Northern had several second place finishers; Emaleigh Olesiak in the one mile, Julia Skari in the 55m hurdles, Kemnitz in the 800m, Abby Hasart in the 3000m, and Grace Kuch in the shot put
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- The women had 10 first place finishers and 11 personal records on the day
- Dobrenski's mark in the high jump ranks twenty-third in DII College Indoor
