Biography

2024-25: Competed in 14 meets for the Wolves… Recorded personal bests of 1:02.27 in the 400m, 44.10 in the 300m, 13.23 in the 100m, 1:08.53 in the 400m hurdles, and 27.21 in the 200m… Won the 4x400m at the Mike Thorson, SD Mines Dual, and Jamestown Dual… Notched 12 top-10 finishes on the year… Member of breaking the Northern State school record in the sprint medley relay (4:07.64)… Honored NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence… 

2023-24: Competed in 15 meets for the Wolves… Notched personal bests in the 60m hurdles (11.24), 100m (13.28), 400m hurdles (1:08.69), 200m (27.67), and 400m (1:02.52)…

Season & Career Bests

Prep: 
Emma Hunt is a sprinter / hurdler out of Jones County High School. She is a 4-year letter winner for the Coyotes under the direction of head coach Jane Daum. Hunt is the Jones County school record holder in the 300m hurdles, breaking it in each of her seasons competing since seventh grade. Her 4x400 relay team placed fourth at the South Dakota State meet in 2023. She won the WGPC Championship in the 300m hurdles in 2022 and placed eighth at the South Dakota State Meet. She also ran on the conference championship 4x200m relay. She is the daughter of David and Katie Hunt.
