Aberdeen, S.D. –The Northern State University track and field teams return to competition at the University of South Dakota to participate in the USD Early Bird Invitational. The meet is spread out over two days starting on Friday April 5^th at 12:00 p.m. and Saturday April 6^th at 9:00 a.m.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The men's 4x200m relay broke the school record and placed second at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational over spring break
• The men's 4x100m placed fourth and the 4x400m took third
• Northern state men had six top-ten finishes which included Birnir Vagn Finnsson with fourth place (decathlon), Ross Kortenbusch in eighth place (decathlon), Damon Roggenbuck in tenth place (javelin throw), Joel Matehs finished fifth (110 hurdles), Drew Salfrank in sixth (400m), and Eli Radtke in seventh (pole vault)
• Northern state women had nine top-ten finishes which included Karli Klein in eighth place (heptathlon),Tayla Dobrenski in ninth (heptathlon,) Sheridyn Winter took ninth (1 mile), Kyanna Collymore placed fifth (400m), Renea Taylor in seventh (100m) Andi Mehrer took seventh(discuss and shot put), Bekah Walz placed seventh (pole vault) and Gracie Eisenbraun placed ninth (pole vault)
