Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team split their opening tri-meet to start the season, picking up a 140-108 win over Concordia-St. Paul but falling to Southwest Minnesota State 178-124. The Wolves earned three relay wins on the night and finished in the runner-up position in six events.

- Northern State opened the meet with a victory in the 3x100 Yard Butterfly Relay, Lauren Forsyth, Georgy Turner, and Lilly Grebner swam to a time of 3:04.10, over 13 seconds better than CSP in second place
- In the 3x100 Yard Backstroke Relay, Maddie Gonzales, Hannah Kiernan, and Mia Fursedonne finished in second place with a time of 3:08.95
- The Wolves earned another runner-up finish in the 3x100 Yard Breaststroke Relay as Mayson Sheldon, Hannah Rodts, and Ali Jones hit the wall in a time of 3:44.18
- A team of Delaney Ryken, Ali Jones, Brianna Back, and Hannah Kiernan earned a second place finish in the 500 Yard Freestyle Relay, finishing with a time of 5:09.91
- Northern's second win of the night came in the 400 Yard Medley Relay as Maddie Gonzales, Mayson Sheldon, Lauren Forsyth, and Lilly Grebner hit the wall in a time of 4:08.32, over eight seconds faster than CSP in second place
- The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Mia Fursedonne, Georgy Turner, Delaney Ryken, and Haley Osborne earned a runner-up finish with a time of 1:44.95
