Northern State Tallies 29 Top-3 Finishes from the Marauder Festival

Bismarck, N.D. – The Northern State University men's and women's track and field teams fine-tuned their times and marks at the Marauder Festival, with the NSIC Championships in sight. The Wolves tallied 11 events victories between the two programs.
 
WOMEN'S TOP RESULTS
  • Shona Juliana tallied the first top-2 finish on the track, taking second in the 60m with a time of 8.00
  • Destiny Wenger won the 600m run, crossing the finish line in 1:48.65
  • Jennifer Clark and Jordyn Sterud took home the top two spots in the mile, recording times of 5:16.27 and 5:22.52 respectively
  • Shanice Burrell added a win in the 60m hurdles, notching a time of 8.85
  • Isabel Kinzer and Emma Rezac took second and third in the 400m with times of 1:00.33 and 1:00.47
  • Mary Franssen ran to a third place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:30.16
  • Sarah Schafer and Kenzie Hamann took second and third in the 1000m, recording times of 3:17.99 and 3:22.78
  • Megan Mooberry and Megan Pickering added second and third place finishes with time of 18:39.77 and 19:25.06 in the 5000m
  • The 4x400m relay team of Kinzer, Rezac, Tori Collesso, and Wenger won the race with a time of 4:12.67
  • The Wolves women swept the top three spots in the pole vault, with Jordyn Huneke taking first (3.90m), Christine Nefgzer taking second (3.35m), and Kenzee Danielson taking third (3.20m)
  • Tava Berg tallied a judge's decision, second place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.69m
  • Cassidy Gough, Jordan Menken, and Christine Stoltenburg took the top three spots in the weight throw, notching marks of 15.14m, 14.59m, and 13.90m
  • Menken and Stoltenburg took first and second in the shot put, throwing 12.48m and 11.33m respectively
 
MEN'S TOP RESULTS
  • Seth Martens tallied a third place finish in the 600m run with a time of 1:25.75
  • Terry Towah flew to a 6.89 second victory in the 60m dash, just .02 seconds off the Northern State school record
  • Tafara Hondonga added a win in the 400m, notching a time of 50.88, and placed second in the 200m with a time of 22.89
  • Jackson Harrison ran to a second place finish in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in 15:25.84
  • Tanner Berg and Nick Olson tallied first and third place finishes in the weight throw with marks of 21.61m and 13.41m respectively
  • Berg went on to win the shot put as well, throwing 16.79m
 
BEYOND THE RESULTS
  • Tanner Berg threw over 19-feet further than the second place finisher in the weight throw
